Happy New Year!

It's 2015! I will, as always, be writing the date as last year probably until about March. The ever increasing number at the end of the date is a big change and takes me a while to adjust! Christmas has, for once, been a relaxing time of year. Seeing family on separate occasions and spreading it out over a couple of days has worked wonders on my Christmas spirit and let me enjoy the holiday more.

New years eve, was spent with the best friends and weirdly ended up sitting round my dining room table at 5am eating egg and beans on toast, with cups of tea, left over popadoms and homemade biscuits. Note: Oralyte has become my new hangover cure! Given as a joke Christmas present from my boyfriend, it worked miracles over the festive period and is a definite recommendation.

My new years resolution for 2015 is to do more. Literally. Get out every weekend walking, socialising, moving. I hope this will help with my energy levels as well as keeping positive and active. Swinging 12kg at my kettlebells class the week between Christmas and new year has got me on a good start (considering it was a measly 4kg last year!) and I plan on keeping it up.
The tea and coffee cupboard has been fully stocked with green teas for everything from digestion to aiding sleep, so I plan on cutting down the caffeine and Costa's with a box of Dr. Stuarts in my bag to keep me going. I honestly don't believe in all this major detoxing and meal replacements after Christmas. It's messing up your body's routine and drastically changing your diet after feasting surely isn't healthy. Take it slow and enjoy a fresh start naturally and healthily!
