Ear cuffs! The simplest way to make a statement.

I was recently sent some ear cuffs to try out from the lovely people at the Body Jewellery Shop. I was flying to Morocco that week and decided to take them with me for the perfect holiday accessory.
They've got a vast selection of jewellery for every piercing imaginable, but I love the cuffs, as I don't have to commit to an Ear piercing where I come close to fainting and endure weeks of sleeping on the wrong side and twisting scar tissue! Sorry, I have a really bad pain threshold!
The cuffs are gorgeous though and were just the right amount of ear candy to make a subtle edgy statement.

These are the three pieces I picked, with the Dragonfly cuff and swirl cuff  adding a bit of femininity, but I absolutely loved the 5 rings and wore it so much that it's currently lost! Will definitely have to purchase if not found because it looked so good! On that note, they're a really good price for the quality and detail, all being under £3 each! I personally think that's a bargain for something that gives a little extra to your look.

Crimped.

It comes back around so many times that I think it's safe to say it can be pulled off in any season with any style. Be it fun & preppy or grungy & tousled; crimping is perfect for a different look all together.

THE palette

Pink and yellow to hide dark circles and dull skin, green to cover redness, shimmer to highlight, darker tones to contour, several different shade of concealer and did I mention they're all a cream consistency??
I've always found powders to dry and liquids seem to crease and disappear off my skin by the time I get to work!
This palette has just sorted my make up routine from top to bottom and the best thing was is that it's cheap as chips on Ebay! (Link below)

Superdrug splurge

It was one of those days when you don't need anything but go shopping to kill time and end up spending a weeks wage. Well... Saturday was that day. Heels, tops, boots and a trip to Superdrug that added to my ever growing foundation and pencils piles. Along with many essentials, my subconscious also sneaked the Meck Tone capsules into my basket, still attempting my new year's resolution of looking after myself.

Rimmel 25 hour Lasting Finish Foundation- Ivory.

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eyeshadow Stick 002- Bulletproof Beige

Rimmel Exaggerate Smoke N Shine Eye liner- 004 Blue Steel

Boots are made for walking.

When you've been wanting tall flat boots all winter and end up buying two (yes two) pairs of heeled ankle boots in the M&S sale. I know, but to be fair, they're gorgeous and you always need boots so....

Happy New Year!

It's 2015! I will, as always, be writing the date as last year probably until about March. The ever increasing number at the end of the date is a big change and takes me a while to adjust! Christmas has, for once, been a relaxing time of year. Seeing family on separate occasions and spreading it out over a couple of days has worked wonders on my Christmas spirit and let me enjoy the holiday more.

New years eve, was spent with the best friends and weirdly ended up sitting round my dining room table at 5am eating egg and beans on toast, with cups of tea, left over popadoms and homemade biscuits. Note: Oralyte has become my new hangover cure! Given as a joke Christmas present from my boyfriend, it worked miracles over the festive period and is a definite recommendation.

My new years resolution for 2015 is to do more. Literally. Get out every weekend walking, socialising, moving. I hope this will help with my energy levels as well as keeping positive and active. Swinging 12kg at my kettlebells class the week between Christmas and new year has got me on a good start (considering it was a measly 4kg last year!) and I plan on keeping it up.
The tea and coffee cupboard has been fully stocked with green teas for everything from digestion to aiding sleep, so I plan on cutting down the caffeine and Costa's with a box of Dr. Stuarts in my bag to keep me going. I honestly don't believe in all this major detoxing and meal replacements after Christmas. It's messing up your body's routine and drastically changing your diet after feasting surely isn't healthy. Take it slow and enjoy a fresh start naturally and healthily!
